MIXERPA Outcomes is an interactive quiz experience developed in Unity for a Windows/UWP touch installation, designed to present project results, figures, and content in a dynamic and accessible format.

Created in the context of Zimmer Biomet's Totally Hip 2026 congress, the application turns a traditional questionnaire into a physical interaction: possible answers move freely across the screen as bubbles, and visitors drag their choice onto the central question.

The goal was to make data and results immediate to explore by transforming congress content into a short, playful experience suitable even for non-gaming audiences.

From home screen to results

  1. Home and attract mode — An animated screen invites visitors to begin with a simple touch.
  2. Quiz — Up to four questions are presented in sequence, each accompanied by five answers displayed as moving bubbles.
  3. Choice and feedback — Players drag an answer onto the central question. A wrong choice triggers visual and audio feedback and allows another attempt; a correct choice starts a confirmation effect and advances to the next question.
  4. Results — A closing screen completes the journey before the application automatically returns home for the next visitor.

Animations, particle effects, sounds, and transitions support every stage, keeping the interaction clear and immediately communicating the outcome of each choice.

Moving bubbles and physical interaction

The answer bubbles move continuously, bounce against the screen boundaries, and react to mutual collisions. While an answer is being dragged, a repulsion system clears space around the user's choice; on release, an impulse restores natural movement.

The drag-and-drop input supports touch and mouse and safely distinguishes valid from invalid releases. Overlays, messages, sounds, particles, and shake animations differentiate correct and wrong answers without interrupting the pace of the experience.

Configurable content and autonomous operation

Questions and answers are organized through configurable ScriptableObjects and prefabs. The layout dynamically distributes bubbles around the central question, reducing overlaps and preserving readability on a Full HD display.

An animated home screen, video screensaver, and inactivity timers allow the installation to operate autonomously. At the end of the journey or after a period without interaction, the application clears its state and returns ready for the next visitor.

My contribution

  • developed the complete Home → Quiz → Results flow with fade transitions and automatic reset;
  • implemented touch and mouse drag-and-drop interaction;
  • created animated bubbles with movement, bouncing, collisions, repulsion, and release impulse;
  • managed correct and wrong answers through overlays, messages, and audiovisual feedback;
  • structured questions and answers through configurable ScriptableObjects and prefabs;
  • developed the animated home screen, video screensaver, and inactivity timers;
  • implemented dynamic answer distribution around the central question;
  • optimized the 2D layout to prevent overlaps and maintain readability on a large-format display.

Project value

MIXERPA Outcomes presents data and results through an immediate visual interaction that is more engaging than a traditional questionnaire. The physical behavior of its answers, clear feedback, and autonomous operation make the application suitable for congresses, events, and exhibition spaces with a continuous flow of visitors.
