Primoljo InfoTotem is an informational experience designed for a vertical touchscreen kiosk. Through images, text, and narrated audio, it guides visitors through the world of extra virgin olive oil with an immediate and accessible navigation system.
Developed in Unity for a 1080×1920 display, the application turns educational content into a self-guided journey suited for showrooms, events, retail spaces, and exhibitions. When the kiosk is idle, an animated screensaver attracts attention and invites visitors to begin.
The goal was to make the company story explorable without instructions: approach the screen, choose a language, and let the content guide the experience.
Five perspectives on olive oil
The journey is organized into five thematic sections:
- Production — the process that takes olives from harvest to the final product;
- Varieties — the characteristics that distinguish cultivars and regions;
- Quality — the elements that define and preserve a valuable oil;
- Composition — what can be found inside extra virgin olive oil;
- Wellbeing — the relationship between olive oil, nutrition, and lifestyle.
Each category combines a visual card with localized content and dedicated audio narration. Transitions and graphic feedback help visitors understand where they are and how to continue at every step.
A multilingual audio experience
The interface supports Italian, English, German, French, and Spanish. The initial selection updates titles, text, calls to action, and audio tracks, providing a consistent experience for international visitors.
The audio guides include play, pause, and stop controls together with autoplay management. Visitors can read, listen, or freely combine both levels of exploration.
Content independent from code
The project structure separates application logic from editorial material. A ScriptableObject catalog describes categories, assets, and audio clips, while a JSON database stores localized text.
This organization allows content, images, and narration to be updated without changing the application’s core behavior. Unity Localization and Addressables complete the system, keeping language variants and assets organized and scalable.
