Interactive Paralympic Quiz

Interactive Paralympic Quiz is an interactive Unity application designed for touchscreen displays and dedicated to the Paralympic Winter Games and Milano Cortina 2026.

The experience transforms the history, disciplines, athletes, and values of the Paralympic movement into a multiple-choice challenge for one, two, or three players, combining bilingual questions, images, timers, scores, and audiovisual feedback.

The goal was to make Paralympic content accessible and engaging through a shared experience combining education, competition, and play.

From setup to final ranking

  1. Setup — Visitors choose Italian or English and start a game for one, two, or three participants sharing the same display.
  2. Questions — Each session presents ten questions randomly selected from a library of 61 illustrated entries, without repetitions for each player.
  3. Timed challenge — Three possible answers, displayed in random order, accompany a ten-second timer and a scoring system that rewards both accuracy and speed.
  4. Ranking — The final screen summarizes finishing position, trophy, total score, and correct answers before returning to the menu.

Visual and audio feedback immediately communicate the outcome of every choice. Animations, transitions, and loading screens keep the flow clear even when several people are participating at the same time.

A truly multiplayer experience

The one-, two-, and three-player modes use dedicated interfaces optimized for a shared landscape display. Each participant has independent questions, timers, and scores, while the global logic coordinates progression and waits for everyone to complete their turn.

The full experience is available in Italian and English. The animated homepage, photographic slideshow, and audiovisual feedback introduce visitors to the challenge and maintain a consistent identity across every screen.

Content separated from gameplay

Questions, answers, and images are loaded dynamically from JSON files and Unity resources. Keeping content separate from logic makes it possible to update the library without rebuilding the gameplay, while language and player-count preferences are stored through PlayerPrefs.

The system automatically manages random selection, repetition checks, transitions, loading screens, and the return to the menu. This structure supports consecutive sessions on touchscreen stations and makes future content expansion straightforward.
